I was a member of the Board of Examiners for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto for many years and continue to advise them on repertoire
My students are encouraged to participate in exams and festivals as a means of providing a goal and independent feedback on progress and performance.
I enter students in exams, up to diploma level and, as a result, have earned UCAS points which contributed to their sucess in applying for their preferred senior schools and universities.
I have adjudicated and been a jury member at numerous national and international competitions and festivals in the UK and Canada.
I have have been asked to give presentations and demonstrations in the Canada, USA and UK to music teacher associations at local and national meetings . I was priviledged to demonstrate and present, Dame Fanny Waterman's teaching method's in the USA at the annual meeting of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) sponsored by her publisher Faber Music.
